The dust of the Quarry

This is inevitable. You cannot work in the dust and be dust-free. The quarry is essential as we build from its products. Quarry workers wear protective gear, helmets, boots, overalls, masks, gloves, and safety jackets and take precautionary measures. They earn good money.
The issue is not working in a quarry but not washing when you get home. Imagine walking into the bedroom with your boot, cooking in the kitchen in your overalls, sitting on the sofa with the dust and going to bed with everything on you. It is unimaginable.
So will it be for a Christian who goes to work and hears all sorts of things, goes to school and sees others watching unsightly things and dressing so absurdly, mixed up with people with ungodly behaviours, come back home without washing them off with the water of the Word of God.
We are not promised a sin-free environment, but what matters is being able to wash off every negative thought, word, and sight with the precious blood of Jesus.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:15-17
Do you live with the dust you've gathered from the day's activities, or do you wash it off when you get home? If you don’t, you will get the house dirty and infected with dust mites and allergens. Some who do not read their Bibles and follow God’s Word as a guide allow Spiritual dust mites to live with them. They come in with bad habits learnt from outside, words that should not be heard from a Christian, doubts and many other mites.
If you refuse to wear the protective gear at work, you will inhale the dust and damage your lungs as time passes. You will damage your eyes as the dust will not be kind to them. You may slip and fall with injuries if you don’t have your boots and helmets.
So also, if you don’t shield your chest with faith, tighten your trousers with the belt of truth, and put on the helmet of salvation, the boot of the Gospel, and hand tool, the Sword of the Spirit. You might get injured out there. Dress properly and wash off the dust you picked up while out and about when you get home.
