Keep your cool, God will ward off every harm

While we keep our cool and go about our business, God is busy warding off everything that might cause harm – unlike man’s defence systems, which can miss some missiles. God’s defence is so strong, not even the tiniest drone or projectile can pass through it.
The stark warning, “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm”, should be taken seriously. 1 Chronicles 16:22 (KJV)
God is omnipotent and all-powerful. He can stop storms, volcanoes, or any disaster. It doesn’t matter what stage the adversity is at. Whether it be at inception, climax or towards the end. He created man and can wheel him in any direction of His choice.
Rest assured, God will handle every situation against you. His protection is apt for the situation, whether that’s raining hail stones to scatter those who seek to harm you or warning them in their dreams.
Laban was after Jacob and his family with his brigade. “And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad”. Genesis 31:24 (KJV). That is Authority speaking. It cannot be flouted, or dire consequences will follow. Laban had no choice but to hold back immediately. Jacob had no idea about this. He was busy worrying about his brother Esau in front and Laban at the back. God took care. Can you believe and have faith that God has taken care of that fear?
Balak hired Balaam to curse the children of Israel. Balaam wondered what he meant. He told Balak that he couldn’t do it because they were blessed. “And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed”. Numbers 22:12. There was an all-powerful defence system around them. Balaam tried to curse them anyway, but God withstood him. “And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me”. Numbers 22:32. Every adversary poised against you shall be withstood in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Abimelech took Sarah to be his wife because Abraham told him that Sarah was his sister, though they were relatives. They said that out of fear of being killed by Abimelech. God showed up to Abimelech by night and told him, “Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife”. Genesis 20:3. It is only the unreasonable who will flaunt this order. Abimelech couldn’t wait for daybreak before sending for Abraham. Anything or anyone that has taken your possessions, whom you are afraid to confront, will be warned at night in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Here’s another one. The Syrians assembled and began to wage war against Israel. The Lord made them hear a great noise of chariots and horses. They left their base and fled for their lives. “For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us”. 2 Kings 7:6.
They didn’t just flee; they left all their possessions and food. Amazing! The hunger crisis in Israel was sorted out in just one morning. God warded their adversaries off. So shall it be to all that has threatened and withstood you. They will hear the Host of Heaven and take to their heels. You will eat their spoils. Are you excited?
Rab-shakeh taunted the children of Israel. Hezekiah was shaken, and he sent for Isaiah the prophet. This was the answer he received: “And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land”. 2 Kings 19:6-7
I wonder what that blast looked like. I wish it were filmed so that every taunt of Satan against us can take heed. A blast and rumour awaits every adversary to turn them away from you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
The chief priests and Pharisees sent some officers to arrest Jesus. The officers found Him only to be met with the most intriguing message they had ever heard. They said, “Never man spake like this man”. John 7:45-46. They sat down to listen, forgetting what they had come to do, and returned without arresting Him. So shall it be to all who are coming after you to arrest you.
Please, let’s relax, knowing God is in charge. Sometimes, it may seem like the defence system fails to intercept some missiles. Any missile allowed through is for a purpose. It will fall to nothing on dry ground.
