I Am Above The Pay Grade of Satan
During a discussion, one of our Pastors told me about a research job she did for a large organisation for free. I asked, why?
She replied, “They said we are too expensive and asked if we could offer our services for free. They couldn’t afford the money for our salary, and we needed that research, so we lectured for free to get the research done”.
This painted a picture of diligence, hard work, consistency, and commitment she has put in to rise, and they could not afford to pay her anything less.
Interesting, I thought, “She is above cheap pay grade. Hmmmmm! Well done, Sis, you have indeed done so well in your profession”.
Now, let’s apply this spiritually and do a reality check. Your spiritual CV will determine the pay grade at which you would be hired. Are we above “Satan’s pay grade?” Does our CV fall into the group he can hire and fire at will? Here is a typical recruitment Ad when Satan is hiring:
Vacancies
“We are hiring a range of professionals. If the listing below is you, then the job is for you. You don’t have to be proficient in them; we have on-the-job training to skill you up.
Hate, pride, deception, lies, cheating, unforgiveness, boasting, intolerance, avarice, stealing, murder, rage, anger, malice, evil speaking, jealousy, bitterness, strife, greed, fornication, propagandists, lewdness, wickedness, filthiness, laziness, procrastination, stinginess, complainers, cursing, drugs, drunkenness, fighting, faithlessness, prayerlessness, evil inventors, worldliness, gossip, tail bearing and dirty jobber. This list is not exhaustive; you might have skills similar to those on it. Still apply, and we will get back to you”.
Many have applied for these low jobs because that is all they can do; some find it fun and exploratory, and some settle for this pay grade for life. For you, it is not so. You can’t be this cheap, falling in and out of weaknesses every time.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Peter 2:9 KJV.
Tell Satan, “I am above your pay grade”. You can’t afford me. I am too expensive to be hired by you. Square up to that temptation, lures, fears and thoughts that degrade you.
Dignity befits royals. There is an aura of respect and admiration around you. Hold up to it. Don’t go down lower. Remember who you are. Your CV is different. You are hard to recruit!
