Benefits of Charity
The Lord expanded our understanding of the benefits of walking in charity or love.
1. Kadosh/Presence of Elohim.
Walking in Charity attracts the Kadosh or weight of the glory of Elohim upon His people, their families, ministries, and businesses. This is because love is the DNA of Elohim.
Matthew 18: 19-20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
2. Charity attracts Divine Favour and Open Doors.
Those who live in love position themselves to plug into the best of Elohim. This was the blessing which the Church at Philadelphia, the City of brotherly love walked in for which they received the extraordinary promises of Yeshua.
Revelation 3:7-8 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
3. Charity covers weaknesses and failures of those we are in relationship with rather than judge or fight them. In this way, Satan has no access to smite them.
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
4. Charity saves Families, Congregations, and Fellowships from sliding into the Flesh, Judgement, and mutual Self-Destruction.
Very often believers give Satan much room to wreck havoc as they bite and devour one another. When we walk in charity, such doors are closed to the enemy.
Galatians 5:14-15 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
5. Charity creates an atmosphere of Harmony which leads to strength and unity for victory.
When saints walk in love, there is harmony and organic unity. They are able to walk in formation to advance and take territory assigned by Elohim, routing the opposition and Satan Himself
1 Corinthians 1: 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
6. A life of Love is also a strong piece of armour for effective defense in spiritual warfare
When discussing spiritual warfare, most of our focus tends to be on Ephesians 6:10-18. Love is also a powerful armour in spiritual warfare!
7. Charity helps us to overcome persecution
Paul the apostle suffered greatly at the hands of those who hated his commitment to the gospel. Among the pieces of armour which saved him was the Spirit of charity he walked in. Let us reflect on this passage.
2 Corinthians 6: 4-5 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
Kingdom life is about walking in Charity rather than sloganeering with words. Let us pray that these benefits will accrue to our account.
