EVERY PERSON IS PRECIOUS TO GOD

Luke 15: 3-7
Jesus, the Good Shepherd, saw it fit to go after the lost sheep. He was concerned about him. He cared for and loved the sheep that was lost. The Good Shepherd knew the lost sheep was in great danger away from the flock. He was alone.
The wilderness is no place for a sheep to be alone. It was dark and unsafe. It was no place for the sheep to be wandering around alone, with no food, no drink, and no covering.
This is also how God feels about the lost. He doesn’t want us lost, but safe with Him.
God wants us to know He will come after us if we go astray. Like A natural parent, when our children are lost and have lost their way, we pray they turn to us, not wander off, make poor choices, and end up separated from the safety of us and their home.
God knows the condition of each of us, and He desires to do something about that. He doesn’t want us to be lost. He always think safety, protection, security, and care.
Sometimes in our pain, rejection, and being mistreated can cause us to stray, but in these times, we should try to hear our Heavenly Father’s voice and come to him, and He will give us rest, care, and love because He always wants the best for us.
His resolve to the lost was His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who came down from heaven and redeemed humanity back to God. Jesus’s death on the Cross paid our sin debt in full.
We were all spiritually separated from God due to the fall of Adam and Eve, and the sinful act of disobedience they did by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil caused all of us who came after them to be in a state of separation from God. So when we wander away from God’s safety and care, we are and were lost like the lost sheep.
God wants us to stay close to Him. His ultimate goal is that every person be saved, rescued and redeemed back to Him. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. This world ( the wilderness) is no place for a child of God. It’s unsafe and dark and it comes to separate us from Him.
Jesus Christ came to seek and save those who are lost. ( Luke 10:19). All who believe in Him and what He did on the Cross will keep us from being lost if we remain in the fold and not stray away.
Jesus came to give us EVERLASTING life. He doesn’t want us to perish ( die), be lost, or be snatched out of His hands of safety. He wants us to be safe and secure. Every time a person is found, there’s rejoicing in heaven over that person. Let us be ever so thankful to God for caring for all of us and for seeking us out when we were lost.
He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, for us. He died for us so we might be saved and become Sons of God.
He forgave us of our sins and made us a part of His family. We should appreciate this love. Now, as God’s sons and daughters, we have this same responsibility to seek and save those who are lost.
Let us not look at their state but see their condition. They are lost apart from God. We are to let them know they are precious to God. Their lives are important to God, and they are valuable to Him. God loves them, and they are precious in His eyes.
John 3:16-17 records that for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but through Him, the world might be saved.
