The Great Deception
Pondering over the gross deceptions and darkness that has invaded our space, what came to my mind was the scripture in 2 Timothy 3:13-14, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them”
What a world and what a people! Lies and deceptions are the order of the day, and it looks like an entangled web with no way out. The nicest of information is the killer. The people that made you believe in them are the deceivers themselves. Pretence and hidden agendas are the norm. No mercy, no compassion. Greed, avarice, and amassing of wealth to the detriment of lives. Hijack of liberty by anyone who can lay hands on anything. Those who caused others to go into mental illness are those now offering a ‘helping hand’. Deceivers outdoing each other, deceiving, and being deceived. What is happening now had been planned out for generations, handed down. The most recent are lies of over 40 years.
We are only here for a few years. Days are gone when men lived up to 900 years. The good old days, when our natural fruits were still in the bush when our waters had not been poisoned and our food had not been replaced with the genetically modified. Just one fruit with natural Vitamin C and vegetables with minerals would have given us defence. Everything is taken away; man is weak and victim of his environment. Satan stole Genesis 1:26 from us “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”.
Evil men are waxing stronger and boast of their might and what they can do. People are living in fear of the unknown, yet some people are privy to the truth. Sadly, we are so thick in understanding that the great men of yesterday are no more. We have not learned the lessons. At the height of pride and showing off, we put the realities of life aside. We are not too big to sleep in two beds or eat a barrel of food in one go. Our gold is still from the dust, the crude oil still comes from the underground, and our flesh will still go back to dust where it came from. The fame and popularity will fizzle out once we are no more.
May God forgive men of their wickedness at every level. The hardness of heart is outrageous. The shedding of blood is like pouring out a glass of water.
To everyone out there who is downcast, thinking the future is unforeseeable, our God is able to deliver us. These are the times the true worshippers of God will worship Him in truth and in spirit. The only escape is faith in Christ Jesus, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He alone has the power to pull down, destroy and rebuild. All power belongs to God, life and death are in His hands.
There is no other time to firmly hold on to Yeshua Hamashiach in holiness and righteousness. A time of knowing who we are in Christ, seeing the day of our Lord approaching. We are not of the world. Let every inconsistency and hypocrisy be put aside, let go of every besetting sin and worldliness. Jesus is coming soon for a people without “spot or wrinkle” (Ephesians 5:27). Do not be carried away with the world, as all our care and worries will be taken away at His appearing. We will ever be with Him. He shall be our Light and we will dwell in His glory. Let us look up to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Our salvation is nearer than we first believed.
