Not Rendering Evil For Evil

Romans 12:17-18 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

One of the acid tests of whether we are true disciples is to come to the place where we can intentionally repay evil with good. This tendency is possible when we trust God completely and leave Him to manage difficult people.
