The fruit of temperance puts us on top of things. Nothing agitates us. We calculate every reaction, action, emotion and drive before doing them. This fruit fights against anger, bitterness, rashness, and unreasonableness. It restrains all negative traits and makes the proper judgement. Temperance does not allow our emotions to override our sense of reasoning. It puts things in their rightful place. A self-controlled person shows mastery in everything. Those who do not have self-control embarrass themselves. We pray to have enough of this fruit stored up in our bodies.
